REMOVAL OF GENERAL PREFERENTIAL TARIFF (GPT) ENTITLEMENT FOR 72 COUNTRIES, JANUARY 01, 2015
Entitlement to the benefit of the General Preferential Tariff is withdrawn in respect of all goods that originate in the following countries, imported on or after 01/01/2015. Note some countries have alternative Tariff Agreements. EXEMPTION The above withdrawal of entitlement to GPT rates of duty, applies only to goods shipped after 01/01/2015. Goods shipped before 01/01/2015 and in direct transit to Canada, will be entitled to the GPT rate of duty.
